Thank you everyone for a fantastic day on Wednesday 9th December... after splitting into Teina/ Tuakana groups we had string games to learn, toi rakau to try, koru to design, past times to complete and harakeke to weave. What a great day with everyone together.
In preparation for the Book Fair some senior students brainstormed some ideas of craft items that will be on sale. With the expertise help from Karen Taylor the group delicately and patiently used needle and thread, brightly coloured felt and a little imagination to make some beautifully crafted hand made flowers.
These flowers will be stitched onto a cushion which will be raffled at the Book Fair - some flower designs shall also be made into badges to then be sold at the Book Fair - the make a great adornment for your school hat - as shown.
